Carnforth is a small town in north Lancashire, near the River Keer and the Cumbrian border, with a population of about 6,000. To the west of Carnforth lies the beautiful coastline of Morecambe Bay; to the south are the much larger towns of Morecambe and Lancaster; to the south-east are the deep valleys and peat moors of Bowland Forest; and to the north-west is Lake District National Park.
