Located west of Maidstone, West Malling is an historic town with many fine buildings. Ford House in the High Street is at least 600 years old and St Leonard's Tower was built by Bishop Gundolf who also built Rochester Cathedral and the Tower of London. During the Second World War, fighters were based at nearby RAF West Malling which has been developed into residential housing called Kings Hill.
