Much Hadham is one of the most picturesque villages in Hertfordshire. It is situated between Bishop's Stortford and Ware and is the largest village of a number of "Hadhams" in the area, including Little Hadham, Hadham Ford and Hadham Cross. Much Hadham's parish church, built from 1225 to completion in 1450, is shared between two congregations: the St. Andrew's Church of England and the Holy Cross Roman Catholic. The entrance to the church is adorned with two sculptures by Henry Moore, who was a resident in the village until his death. A park of Henry Moore's sculptures lies on the outskirts of the village.
