Fortunately, the town was rebuilt with impressive Georgian buildings. Wareham Town Museum, located in the lovely Victorian Town Hall, is free to visitors and The Rex Cinema, a gas-lit picture house, still screens films. There are two local state schools: Bere Regis First School and Wareham Middle School for children aged 9 - 13.
