Dawlish is a small town on the east coast of Devon, between Torquay and Exeter. Situated above deep-red cliffs, Dawlish took its name from a local stream once called 'Deawlisc', which means 'Devil Water' as the stream ran red after heavy rains. Dawlish grew with the coming of the railway and has stretches of track built on the sea wall, providing amazing views for passengers.
