Situated between Lakes and Dales, the vibrant, thriving market town of Kendal sits on the banks of the River Kent, one of the fastest flowing rivers in the country. The town’s most famous export must be Kendal Mint Cake, which was carried to the top of Mount Everest in May 1953.
