Numerous granite cottages, small cobbled streets and narrow alleyways all surround a sheltered harbour. St. Ives is predominantly a tourist destination, but life also centres on the harbour where fishing boats bring in their daily catch. Retirees often search for property for sale in St. Ives, because of the mild climate, warmed by the Gulf Stream and almost frost-free winters.
