The PrimeLocation.com Property Blog Awards were launched in 2009 to reward and celebrate the best bloggers both in the UK and overseas who write about 'home'.
The blog awards takes place during the last quarter of each year and during its first weeks and months we invite nominations and everyone's invited to do so. It's a chance for property and neigbourhood bloggers to nominate themselves for a category (or categories) OR for blog fans to nominate their favourites. These nominations are then drawn up by category and judged by a panel of experts - plus one via a public vote.
This year the blog awards competition opened for nominations on 26th October 2011 and closes on 5th December 2011. Judging and voting will take place between 8th and 31st December and the winners announced in the first week of January 2012.
Why do we do it?
We noticed that while there are hundreds of 'Best Blog' awards for those posting about clothes, cars and many other walks of life there was nothing shedding light on the wonderful world of bloggers posting about property and home.
What are the prizes?
The prizes are: £250 of John Lewis vouchers for the winner of Best Blog category, and £100 of John Lewis vouchers for each winner in the remaining categories.
Who's won before?
Previous winners have included a wide range of bloggers from the UK and beyond including personal bloggers, well known journalists such as Graham Norwood, interior designers such as Karen Haller plus unnamed but intriguing undercover estate agent bloggers. And over the coming weeks we'll be catching up with the winners of the 2010 Property Blog Awards to find out what they've been up to over the past 12 months, so be sure to check back regularly to get the latest updates.

Each year we receive over a thousand nominations (1,200 last year) for the awards and some 4,000 votes.
