Salmon and trout fishing are available locally, specifically on the River Add. There is also organised game shooting as well as deer stalking.

The area surrounding Bridgend is steeped in ancient Scottish history. The ancient Scots kingdom of Dalriada was centred at Dunadd Fort, located at the foot of Kilmartin Glen.

The house is surrounded by a lawned garden with a gravel drive leading to the front and side of the house with a spacious parking area. The gravel drive continues to the rear of the house and terminates at the two lodges.
