PRICE REDUCED APRIL 2010
The property, with a recently REDUCED PRICE, is located in gently rolling countryside near the town of Marsciano in the Tiber valley south of Perugia.
In the 12th century Sant’Orsola was a Benedictine abbey, and parts
of this are still identifiable in the present structure. Later the building became a working farmhouse and recently has been restored and divided into 3 apartments.
The first and largest of these is on the 1st floor and is accessed by an external staircase and loggia. The front door leads into a
large (5m x 11m) living room with wooden beams and terracotta ceiling and a large open fireplace. There are 5 double bedrooms, each with en suite bathroom as well as a study and fitted kitchen.
The second apartment is on 2 floors, with the entrance at ground level with a kitchen/living area and open fireplace, and upstairs a double bedroom
and bathroom.
The third apartment
is in the oldest part of the building with attractive arches and has a kitchen, living room
and a double bedroom with en suite bathroom.
The old stables on the ground floor provide space for a laundry, boiler room, storage and a recreation room.
Outbuildings, grounds and services
There is a substantial brick outbuilding in need of restoration
and representing a potential further 120 sq.m. of living space. The garden of about 5000 m2 is fenced and well stocked with mature trees. There is mains water and LPG fuelled central heating. Shops and amenities are 5 minutes drive
away in Marsciano, and Perugia airport, now with direct flights to London, is about 30 minutes away.
