The original building, which dates to around 300 years ago, was a mill house within a small hamlet surrounded by undulating woodland, the private grounds of which now include a swimming pool and tennis court for the use of residents. With accommodation for four people plus a sofa bed for an additional two, the apartment has two double bedrooms, two bathrooms (one en suite), a kitchen-dining room with direct access to the garden, and a large drawing room, one part of which can be curtained off for the additional sleeping space.The interior of the apartment has been designed with a sensitive balance of original, natural materials - including exposed beams, stonework and terracotta – and refined, modern furnishings and fittings. The kitchen and bathrooms have been fully equipped to a high standard of quality, and the overall atmosphere is one of space and calm. Facilities provided include independent gas central heating, washing machine, satellite TV and broadband Internet connection for use with guests’ own laptop. There is no landline phone, but mobile phone coverage is strong.The property has its own small private garden, including a shaded terrace for outside dining.
