14th century villa/castle surrounded by elegant park 9 kilometres from the centre of Arezzo.
This extraordinary property of particular shape was built in 14th century. The structure, with double staircase leading to the upper ground floor in the centre, has two round towers on both sides. During centuries the main building was modified several times,
but the towers remained the same. They still have stone covered roof.
The living space of almost 1000 sq.m. develops on three levels. The lower ground floor consists of a large kitchen with original open fire place and stone sink, technical room and several rooms once used as cellars. They all have either beamed or cross vaulted
ceilings and windows. They can be accessed from the garden and are connected with the upper level through an internal staircase.
The upper ground floor has an entrance hall, reception rooms, three bathrooms and one magnificent drawing room of approx. 100 sq.m. surface. Interiors feature high ceilings, large windows and antique, hand painted doors. Floors in different shape terracotta
tiles are in great part the original ones. There are two open fire places and several wall decorations. All these details create the elegant atmosphere of past times.
The last floor consists of several rooms with high beamed ceilings and terracotta floors. Antique paintings can be found in the corridor leading to the tower. Although the roof has been isolated and restored 12 years ago, this level, as well as the lower ground
floor need to be refurbished.
The building is surrounded by 4000 sq.m. park with secular trees, fountain, gazebo and pergola with roses. Round swimming pool with salt water is located in the sunniest part of the garden. The property is entirely fenced with two entrance gates. A typical
cypress alley leads from the main gate towards the villa.
Electricity, water well, gasoline central heating and modern sewage system is in place.
It is possible to purchase agricultural land in the vicinity.
