This small development (only 6 villas) is extremely well maintained, which is obvious to the eye – colourful well kept gardens, lush green lawn and a crystal clear pool greet you. Set in a quiet location, the villa itself is a delight to enter........... Ground Floor From the shared drive (with private parking space) enter through the front door into the open plan living space complete with shower room/toilet/wash basin to the right of the entrance hall. To the left is the fully equipped kitchen (with fridge freezer, oven and hob, dishwasher etc) and in front, the living and dining areas. The dining area has a table and chairs seating 6 and is easily served from the kitchen. From here, walk down a step into the roomy lounge area, with its stylish and comfy sofa and chairs, TV and DVD player at one end and more casual seating and fireplace to the other. The DVD player also plays CDs and MP3s, ideal for your own music collection as you can play tunes of your choice through the TV speakers. This room is shaded from all aspects and cool in the summer – for additional comfort, a ceiling fan is fitted. Patio doors lead from here onto the covered terrace. Bedrooms 4 in total, 2 with double beds, 2 with twin beds and 1 sofa bed. Downstairs, the lower ground floor of the villa has a ‘family’ bedroom, complete with double bed and sofa bed, which is capable of sleeping 1 or 2. This can also be used as a maid’s or nanny’s sleeping area. Upstairs, at first floor level, is the main sleeping accommodation. All 3 upper bedrooms have air-conditioning, wardrobes, drawers, cabinets etc. A family bathroom with bath and shower (plus washing machine) is to the left of the stairs and a twin double room, with small Juliet style balcony in front overlooking the pool. The master bedroom is furnished ‘Japanese’ style and has a small balcony overlooking the pool and gardens. Next door, is another twin bedded room, again with small balcony. From this floor, stairs lead to a large open rooftop terrace, which has partial sea views to Kucukbuk bay and the surrounding village area. A sink is fitted at this level. Outside From the lounge, walk through the patio doors onto a large covered terrace overlooking the gardens – the pool is to the left of the terrace. A dining table and chairs for 8 is positioned here, ideal for al fresco dining during hot summer days or warm evenings. If you want to snooze in the shade, a hammock is hung on the wall ready for you to attach to the trees in the garden or terrace railings Zzzzzzzzzzzzz. The shared pool is to the left of the villa and set amongst the pretty, colourful gardens. There’s plenty of room for sun loungers and umbrellas, shade and sun too, plus shallow area for children to splash about in. The whole complex is gated and fenced, so no need to worry about safety of children. The site manager lives on site and is happy to help with any matters which may arise. The beach, restaurants and bars of Kucukbuk are a 5 minute walk away – and a local bakal (shop) selling fresh bread, milk, provisions etc, just 2 minutes away. A car is not required for those who want to chill out by the pool or beach, but for those who wish to explore the area a little more, a car is necessary. The larger village of Gundogan is 5 minutes drive in one direction, and trendy Turkbuku, 10 minutes in another. Sophisticated Yalikavak, with its new multi-million dollar marina, pedestrianised shopping, bar and restaurant area is a 15 minute drive away. On Thursdays, there is a large Pazar (market) held in Yalikavak, where tourists and locals mingle to buy their provisions and textiles – not to be missed. Bodrum town centre, is 30 minutes drive away from Kucukbuk, with its swish shops, restaurants, bars, marina, castle and of course nightlife!
