Founded back in 2013, MorfittSmith Estate & Letting Agent has quickly become established as one of Sheffield’s new breed of independent agents. We have always done things differently, not satisfied with the idea of being another ‘cheap and cheerful’ agent who offer limited service. We have invested heavily in developing a diverse and experienced team who together can offer you a high quality, comprehensive and most importantly bespoke service.

Thanks to our agile and creative team, we aren’t held back by many of the problems facing other agents. We have been able to respond to an evolving market by developing our services and investing in new technology. All to keep you, your property and your investment one step ahead of the curve.

We made it this far by appreciating that every property is different, and everyone’s circumstances are unique. John Morfitt MNAEA
Director / Valuer
John is held in high regard throughout the property market in Sheffield. With nearly 30 years in the industry, he has become extremely well known for his dedication and enthusiasm. John is relishing being part of a new independent team and is excited to be getting back to what he does best – providing a bespoke, caring service to each and every client who walks through the morfittsmith doors. He understands that it is all about the people.
Paul Batty
Director
Paul brings his creative vision to morfittsmith, singlehandedly designing our uniquely styled office and ensuring our marketing media fits the bill. His belief in quality marketing is the reason why your home comes to life in print, and online, and looks just as good as in real life. His motto to life is "If it exists in my mind, it must be achievable!". In his spare time, Paul can usually be found walking the family dogs (Pixie & Lola), in the gym (motivation permitting) or dining out.
Rob Beal MARLA MNAEA
Business Development Manager
Rob has been involved in Estate Agency since 2003 and has passed both the NAEA and ARLA technical awards for residential property. Having excelled in a variety of roles throughout the industry, Rob now specialises in lettings and property management. Sheffield is his home city and there isn't a lot Rob doesn't know about the area, from local schools and parks to restaurants and shops. Outside of work a lot of Rob's free time is spent with his wife and two young sons. A keen sport fan; especially of rugby, cricket & football but now mainly watching rather participating, he's nearly 40 you know.
Sandra Spooner
Land & New Homes Manager
Sandra joins our New Homes team at MorfittSmith bringing with her the skills of a decorated career. Working in the Land and new Homes sector for over 15 years with both National and local developers she has an eye and an appreciation for some of the finest new homes throughout the Yorkshire region. It is her passion and pleasure to work with developers and purchasers, from buying land and breaking ground - to handing over the keys to excited clients on completion. She likes nothing better than to be on site with the high viz jacket, hard hat and rigger boots trudging through mud. But occasionally you may still find her at the head offices of national developers suited and booted. Her leisure time is spent mainly having a coffee with friends or working in the garden with a glass of chilled wine accompanied by Boot the dog.
Charlie Winter
Head of Photography & Marketing
Charlie brought our Marketing & Photography in-house, as well as filming & producing our new property videos. Whether it's a new home for sale or a house we have been letting for years, he makes sure that each and every property at Morfitt Smith looks its very best. Charlie trained as a professional photographer and had a studio for a number of years, before later attending University.
Sarah Redfern
Lettings Manager
Sarah joined Morfitt Smith with over 8 years’ experience in the industry. Sarah prides herself on her positive work attitude and her ability to provide excellent customer service. Having recently returned from maternity leave with her second child, she is looking forward to what the next year brings. In her spare time she enjoys walking and spending time with her family.
Alex Cocker
New Homes Sales Co-Ordinator
Alex joined the team in 2014 as "The Apprentice" and after 11 months we were delighted to have our own Lord Sugar moment and say "Your Hired". Alex has continued to develop his knowledge of the local housing market, his infectious enthusiasm to help, and he regularly receives praise from both sellers and buyers. When Alex isn't working, he spends his time with friends and family.
Harriet Foster
Property Manager
Harriet also joined us recently, coming from a background as a Recruitment Consultant, she is excited to now progress within the property world. After working within Customer Service for many years, Harriet will go above and beyond in making sure any issues are sorted with a smile. Harriet has lived in Sheffield all her life and knows all the best spots in town for a nice dinner or cocktails. She spends as much free time as possible with her friends and family, playing pool, losing at weekly pub quizzes, and enjoys a spontaneous adventure.
Karen Woffindin
Sales Negotiator
Karen has a great deal of customer service knowledge, being on both sides of the house buying process. Having returned back to work recently from dedicating her time to raising a family she brings her enthusiasm and knowledge of the local property market to morfittsmith. In her spare time Karen enjoys walking the family dog and socialising with family and friends.
Emily Westray
Lettings Negotiator
Emily joined MorfittSmith after working as a recruitment consultant. This has allowed her to hone a range of transferrable skills which she now applies to her role as our Lettings Negotiator. Emily loves building relationships with our clients and keeping the day-to-day business of the Lettings department running smoothly. She enjoys the fast-paced environment this brings, and she can often be found jetting around the city to her next property viewing. In her spare time, Emily enjoys keeping fit through weightlifting and kickboxing.
Rachel Carbutt
Sales Negotiator
Rachel brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to morfittsmith. With over 15 years experience within the industry. Her passion for property and the people shines through on a daily basis. In her spare time she enjoys jetting off to sun kissed beaches. She also enjoys dining out whilst enjoying a glass of wine or two with friends and family.
Frankie Gurdon
Digital Editor & Photography Assistant
Frankie joined the team following 5 years of undergraduate & postgraduate study. Largely self-taught, she is a keen editor, graphic designer, digital artist and videographer. With a love of community and particularly the Steel City, Frankie has brought her skills to content creation at MorfittSmith. Joining the team as our Digital Editor and Photography Assistant. Whenever she is away from her desk, Frankie loves watching films, making music, and cooking for her friends and family.
Julie Mitchell
Finance Officer
Julie has recently joined the team, and brings with her many years experience in the Accounting and Finance area. The rest of the team are getting used to Julie chasing them for invoices and receipts! When Julie is not at work she spends her time with friends, is a keen walker and likes to travel.
